Jeep / Equipment Requirements:

While we do not expect challenges as this is a frequented BOH trail, it is best to be prepared! In an effort to avoid trail delays of any significant time, all Jeeps should be outfitted as described, and the listed support equipment should be present and handy to be used in quick fashion. Yes, we realize this deviates some from the BOH app requirements for our trail. However, for the greater good of those in attendance, little or no trail delays will enhance the experience for everyone! Please abide by these guidelines.

Street legal with valid insurance

35" tires minimum

Air-down device(s)

Winch with snatch block (or soft shackle donut)

Shackle(s) (hard or soft)

Tow strap (not a snatch strap or kinetic rope) with looped ends (not metal hooks)

Trail Difficulty / Description:

While we are not setting any records out here, this is a legit trails facility with a couple spots that will make even the most experienced drivers sit up in their seats a bit. We have a Badge of Honor rating of 4-5, and we've had many drivers come off trail and comment they believe that is an accurate rating. This is not a break you – bust you trail, but the 2.4mi route is not a gravel or fire road in the National Forest either. Prior off-road trails experience highly recommended. There are several very steep ascents and descents along real mountain-side trails with tight spots among old growth shade trees and an open, sun soaked mountain top with magnificent views into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Cherokee National Forest. Full trail description is on the BoH app. The BoH trail takes about 1.5hrs+/-, but as we know, a large group slows things up a bit.

Rules / Policy:

Trailers / Trailered Rigs Policy:

Sorry, no Trailers! We simply do not have the space to allow for trailers, tow rigs, and room to unload a rig. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Alcohol/illegal substance policy:

No occupants of the Jeep shall consume alcohol or possess or consume illegal or non prescribed drugs. Disregarding this policy will result in immediate expulsion from the facility without refund. This IS NOT a rule we will 'look the other way' on. Period. We want a safe and sober environment for every Jeeper out here. We're not the fun police, but there is a time/place, and this aint it.

Pet Policy:

Pets must be on leash at all times. Be mindful that not all people love dogs like you do. Be aware some dog interactions do not go well, so lets avoid a bad scene by using caution. Owners must pick up after their pet. Yes, be prepared to pick up your dog's crap. Bag up the fresh, hot steamer that your Fido just dropped and put it in your rig. No one wants to step in it or drive in it so they can see and smell the smashed dog turd in their tire tread or shoe bottom for the next couple hours. Doggie drama leads to human drama. Let's not do drama. Please be a good dog owner, and we'll enjoy hosting you!

GMRS Radio Use:

For facility use regarding emergency or logistical needs, we will use channel 17 (462.600MHZ). Guests may utilize channel 17 to report any issues. Friends, groups, clubs that like to chit-chat or dialog during the ride may use whatever channel you prefer OTHER THAN channel 17, please.

Wheelin' Buddies / Friends / Clubs / Groups:

If you have a buddy or group and want to wheel together, you MUST arrive together as the staging area will place the order of departure the same as the order of arrival. The staging area will be restrictive and NOT allow Jeeps to jump in line or move around. We are limited on space and thank you for your attention to this. Again, for the greater good of all in attendance, we are simply trying to put measures in place that facilitate smooth arrival, staging, and departure for trails. Thank you.

Restroom Facilities:

We have portable rest rooms available for use. If you have to stop-n-pee on trail, we kindly ask you to pick up the paper product (if used) as it is trash. Thank you.

Trash:

We take great pride in our facility, and there is no trail trash to be found here. We kindly ask for your support in maintaining our clean trails system. Cigarette butts are trash. Trail tinkle paper is trash. Keep your trash to yourself, please! Thank you!

Weather / Trails Conditions BoH Session Cancellation Policy:

We will use our Facebook page (Outdoors in the Smokies) as the official notification platform in the event of rain or other environmental condition that causes us to close the trails facility for a particular session(s). Even though we have made incredible efforts to allow trails to drain off, sometimes wet conditions linger longer than desired. So if we get a ton of rain on day one, it might be day three until we open. Day two might be nice and sunny, but it also might not be ready for vehicles here. We have to wait and see! We believe in Tread Lightly principles to protect trails, and trust me, we absolutely do shut down. We also want drivers and rigs to be safe on trail; some of our trail inclines and declines are not the place to be after rain. Even very experienced drivers with graduated rig upgrades come off our trails on a good condition day and say "...umm... yea, I don't think ya wanna be on trail here when it's wet".

NOTICE TO ALL:

We have never put words together intentionally to insinuate that we are part of a certain late August Jeep production in the Smoky Mountains. To Make it clear, we ARE NOT, in any way, associated with the business, club, group, entity, other that puts on the gathering, or "Invasion" of Jeeps in the month of August in neighboring Pigeon Forge, TN.
